Title: Through the Faultline

190 x 297mm
The work depicts a deep gorge seen from below, where a sharp, bright fissure of light opens in the distance. The illumination tapers outward in a wedge-shaped gradient from white to deep grey, emphasizing the height and narrowing perspective of the rock walls and the sense of looking upward from shadow into light. The piece is built by layering thin, translucent handmade papers combined with fine line drawing over a monoprinted background. The natural textures and subtle transparency of the papers, together with the soft, hazy patterns of the monoprint, create a misty, dreamlike atmosphere. Part of the / Dream Landscapes' collection.
Unframed.
