A small reduction relief (linocut) print of Tatra mountains and the Giewont, based on a sketch made by the artist in Zakopane, Poland, in December 2023. The image shows forest covered lower mountain ridges rising up to the peaks above, gradually fading into the mist. The expression is stylised and slightly ornamental, inspired by the rich traditional crafts of the local area.
Handprinted in multiple layers of various greys using reductive technique with Caligo black and white ink on Ho-Sho paper.
Size of image 94 x 178 mm, size of paper 134 x 232 mm.
The print is signed and numbered by the artist, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
The test proof printed on buff/cream japanese Kitakata Select paper is also available.
